Jindal Supreme (India) Ltd. is an ERW pipe manufacturer in India. Our Electric Resistance Welded steel pipes and tubes are made at our 16-acre plant in Hisar, Haryana, where we have been making steel pipes since 1974.
What Is ERW Pipe?
ERW stands for Electric Resistance Welded. An ERW pipe is made by rolling a steel strip into a tube shape and fusing the seam with high-frequency electric resistance welding. At Jindal Supreme the process makes round, square and rectangular sections. A GI pipe also starts as an ERW steel pipe made from coil at our Hisar plant, before it is hot-dip galvanized.

How Our ERW Pipes Are Made
The process starts with steel coils of controlled chemical composition. The coil is slit into strips of the required width, then progressively roll formed into a round, square or rectangular tube. High-frequency electric resistance welding fuses the seam, and controlled heat treatment normalizes the weld. The tube then passes through sizing and straightening so that diameter and straightness stay within tolerance.
Our plant runs 9 tube mills with CNC-controlled forming rolls, automatic seam welding and online dimensional monitoring, and makes a wide range of sizes and thicknesses.

Testing and Traceability
Finished pipes are tested in our in-house laboratory, including hydrostatic, tensile and yield strength, eddy current, flattening, bend and flaring tests, and spectrometer-based chemical analysis. Coils and HR sheets are sourced from certified suppliers to IS 2062, IS 10748 and IS 13229. Orders can be supported with material test reports, batch coding, heat number traceability and test certificates.
