Crash Barriers
Crash Barriers
A crash barrier is a steel structure installed along the roadside to prevent vehicles from veering off dangerous edges or medians, and to redirect them safely back onto the roadway rather than letting them leave it. Jindal Supreme India Ltd. manufactures metal beam crash barriers for highway and roadside protection applications.
What We Manufacture
Our crash barrier range consists of W-beam sections and matching channel posts, supplied in railway and highway grades.
Specifications

| Product | Dimensions | Thickness | Zinc Coating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Railway W-Beam | 312mm × 4318mm | 2.00mm | Min. 80 micron |
| Highway W-Beam | 312mm × 4318mm | 3.00mm | Min. 80 micron |
| Channel Post (Railway) | 1800 / 2100 / 2700mm | 4.00mm | Min. 80 micron |
| Channel Post (Highway) | 1800 / 2100 / 2700mm | 5.00mm | Min. 80 micron |
All components are hot-dip galvanized to a minimum coating of 80 micron.
How It Works
The corrugated W-beam is bolted onto channel posts fixed into the ground at regular intervals. On impact, the beam flexes and absorbs part of the force, guiding the vehicle back rather than letting it leave the roadway.
